3 items and the buyers don't follow thru? Sounds like you have more bad luck than most.

First post on this site. This thread came up in a google search for Altec Intermodulation Analyzer, a search I initiated in an effort to learn more about the piece of gear I posted on ebay.

This item "sold" again today, let's see if it's a legitimate purchase this time. I have no idea what this item is worth, but isn't that the beauty of ebay...start the auction at a low price and let the free market decide the value. I started the original auction at $10 and certainly got my hopes up to sell for $1k based on the bidding activity, but I was scammed apparently in the first go round.

I listed and sold a western electric amplifier and an Altec mono amp at the same time and the winners of those auctions flaked, too. There certainly seems to be more scammers and ne'er-do-wells on ebay than I remember from the old days. I guess in light of that I can't blame you guys for assuming that I was somehow involved in trying to drive up the price, but that is untrue.

Anyway, feel free to bid on this thing if you see it listed again!
welcome to the site. but be careful if you spend to much time here. you'll end buying more altec stuff than you sell.

Well, I listed 42 items at the same time and only 3 didn't follow through, so not terrible I guess...

Listed doesn't count. We are talking percentage of sold. Makes it a little worse, But guess ya gotta live with it.

Didn't see the Huntron stuff I might have actually bid on that...
